Southern California Regional Fire Department information

If you want to find out about Fire Department action in Southern California, here are some pages detailing of a few of the local agencies. Most of the fire agencies in Los Angeles County still use conventional analog radios, any of the scanners on the market should be able to receive the transmissions. Counties shown in Red on the map are not using conventional Analog radio systems and radio frequencies for those are not listed on our site, both Orange County (to the South of LA County) and San Bernardino County (to the East of LA County) as well as San Diego County further to the South have all gone over to trunked systems. LA county is shown in Orange on the map below because some of the departments have already transitioned to Trunked, Digital Trunked or Encrypted systems for more secure communications. Shown in Green on the map, other counties near LA: Kern County(to the North of LA County), Riverside County(to the Southeast of LA County) & Ventura County(to the Northwest of LA County) use conventional analog radios. The remaining counties shown in Tan, are either unknown or we do not have frequency editors for those areas; where possible, links to those departments are shown.

On the pages that we maintain, if additional live information is available from the department, you will see icons do denote if they have twitter or data streams provided and these pages will show recent activity as well as provide links to those sources. If you see after a link, we do not yet have an editor for those departments and this is a link directly to their site.

We try to keep the information current for the Conventional Analog systems on the pages linked below, for systems that have gone over to trunking, no new radio information is available on those pages. If you want or need trunking information, there are other radio resources on the web that are able to keep up to date on that information. If you have new information or more data for any of the Conventional Analog systems in other surrounding areas and want to be the editor of a page for that system, contact us for more information about becoming a page editor.
